Another Villager Update

First off, I want to apologize for the prior post. Apparently, I have become a wine lightweight!!

My sis in law from Oregon sent some PJs for DDT to wear. Well she bought a 3T and they looked small to me but I couldn't really tell until I put them on DDT. He was unsure of the sleeves and the feetsies.

Last night I made dinner for my in laws. It was a very healthy dinner and my first slow cooker dinner of the season. Have I told you all how much I love autumn? I do. I love cooking in the slow cooker and having the smell penetrate through the entire house.

I have lost some more weight and I am not sure how I am doing it because I haven't really been able to walk due to my back. I have been eating healthy and I haven't been obsessing about it so I think I have found the key to my success. Do not obsess, just make smart decisions.

DDT is going to be evaluated today at swimming today. The owner the company is going to do it to make sure that he is on track. DDT is working on becoming the next Michael Phelps!!

Until next time, be safe and do not blog while drinking.

Ramblings from a Village Idiot

Okay, so it has been a couple of days since a post and I am going to post a long one here and I apologize because I have already had to glasses of chardonnay.

My Weekend

Since I am a loving daughter, I thought it would be nice to go to my folk's house and do a little bit of cleaning. They went away on vacation and their house was in need of a good cleaning. My parents do a good job are surface cleaning but it needed a good cleaning. So with the help from my sis we arrived in the LBC at 7:30 and set off to work. We did a good job but there were a few rooms that weren't cleaned to my liking because of "stuff" piled in places. Actually, I will take blame for one room because it is housing my king bed and a crib for DDT when he stays over. The room is not big to begin with and when you add a King bed to it, it is VERY small. We did a good job overall and I was feeling pretty good until I woke up Sunday morning.....'

My Back

So I wake up on Sunday and I try to roll out of bed and I am in PAIN!! My back is revolting against me. My left side is totally out of whack and I can barely walk. I hear DDT stirring and go try to pick him up and with all my strength I lift him out of the crib. I think it was at this point I decided he needed to go on a diet or I was going to teach him how to climb out of the crib himself. Being the good daughter in law that I am, I went about my day and took DDT over to Grammy and Papa's house to do my watering of their 100 acre yard. Okay it is not that big but seems like it when one can't move freely. DDT had some good quality time with Papa and I was tempted to leave him there.....On Monday morning, I called the Chiro (for those of you who don't believe in them, oh well) and was able to get in first thing in the morning. OH MY GOD, I love the chiro!! After one visit I was ble to lift my left leg with minimal pain. Today's visit was another step in a painfree direction.

My Day

The tree trimmers arrived at a quarter to 8 and I woke up rusing around the house to close the windows so DDT wouldn't wake up. Yes, he was still asleep at 8!! So about 8:30 Sergio the tree trimmer knocked on my window. I went out back and he informed me that he accidently cut through my phone and cable wires....On the outside, I was calm "No worries, Sergio. I will call Cox and have them fix it"...On the inside, I was "WTF, are you f*&ing joking? How am I going to check email? How can I surf the web...Oh shit!" So I called Cox and they said "maybe" they could get someone out today. This is an emergency people, I need a definite answer. So Daniel from Cox called and said someone would be at the house between 3-5. Oh my god! Luckily I was able to surf the web on someone else's wireless. the Cox repair man showed up at 2:30, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

My Favorite Time of The Year

Monday was the first day of FALL!!! I love this time of the year!! It is the start of the crazy time of year back to back to back holidays. I started decorating and already had an ornament casuality thanks to DDT. Is there ever going to be a time when I can put ornaments out and he will not touch? I love the smell of my house, it smells like pumpkin spice! I can't wait to start baking my pumpkin bread!! Be on the look out for special deliveries!!

My Child

Mommy is the new word. It was MA!! and Mama but now it is mommy. He is also taking my hand and leading me to his playroom so I can sit and play with him. I can't believe he is 20 months!! I find myself loving him more and more, which I didn't think was possible. Although right now, he is pissing me off because he keeps standing in the tub. He was very good today, maybe he is coming down with something...Okay I take it back, he just poured half of the water out of the tub with his frog...Okay, he is a goofball again, he is biting his own foot......

My Hubby

I am in love with my hubby and I cannot imagine my life without him. Yes, I do worry about when he is at work but working in the village there isn't that much action. If he were to go county, then my worry level would definitely increase. He is an amazing father to DDT and I love watching them together. There is one thing that bugs me and that is when he washes dishes and I still find food particles on the forks, plates, etc. So I rewash and remember all the reasons why I love him....I need to say it more....

Overview

I love my life, my hubby, my standing in the tub 20 month old, my dog, my family (near and far) and my glass of chardonnay.

Happy Birthday Hankers!

Today is Hankers 6th Birthday (according to an online age calculator, he is 37 in human years). It must be wierd for Panda to be the same age as his own son.

DDT and I gave Hankers a squirrel toy (it has survived so far) and for Hanker's dinner, I made him a bowl of ground turkey (because we are so health conscience).

DDT's Kind of Fun

so this morning this is what I found behind our house:

Photobucket

DDT loved watching it work.

The Evilness

that I call the scale has turned against me. A few days after my HUGE weight loss I went to move the scale and realized a sock was underneath it. So I am thinking that it threw my numbers off. WTF!!!! So today I stepped on the scale and recorded the new weight. Haven't been walking due to many things going on but have been not just sitting around. I also have been, thanks to Panda, eating very well for dinner. Thanks to myself for eating good throughout the day.

On a good note I am only 4 lbs (not much huh?) from a weight that I have only been under once in the last 100 years.

Next week, back on track so I can get that damn 4 lbs off.

I Should Have....

read this book before getting married to Panda....

Photobucket

Just joking, I saw this book as we were leaving Barnes and Noble today. Is it really that bad being married to a fireman?

DDT "Helping" Daddy

So Panda and DDT are working on a project together - transforming half of the planter into a sandbox.

Mommy's Day Out

So Kiki and I took another day off and did our usual scrapbooking and bingo.

The day started off with a nice breakfast at The Original Pancake House. People, this place was sooooo yummy and helped hold off the hunger pains as we scrapbooked.

At scrapbooking, I was able to finish my niece's (CM) scrapbook and got started on my autumn cards. We seriously sat there for 5+ hours and I probably could have sat longer. I loved listening to the other women chatting and cracking jokes at each other. Kiki and I definitely fit right in with them.

After scrapbooking, we went to play bingo. Well we decided to try a different place this time and boy, was it a mistake!! We went to a bingo club in Hawaiian Gardens. Now for those folks not familiar with So Cal, Hawaiian Gardens is not a place you want to be left alone for very long. Like Panda says "If there is a Popeye's Chicken around, it probably isn't the greatest place to be." and there was a Popeye's Chicken on the corner. Anyhow, this bingo place was CRAZY!! You bought in for each game and they called numbers as fast as possible. We lasted about 2 hours but needed to leave because 1. We were getting broke. 2. My head was starting to hurt and 3. We didn't want to get caught in any cross fire.

So Kiki and I decided that we will stick to our original bingo place from now on because I think if I played at the bingo club again, I would need to take some speed to keep up.

So another day off and definitely will be doing it again soon. Well maybe not soon but definitely next month!

Bammmmmm........

Well I had quite the surprise when I stepped on the evil thing this morning. I have lost quite a bit.

On another note, I chopped my hair off yesterday. It had been over a year since my last haircut and thought it would be good for a little change. I will post a pic later today of the new do.

It's Friday!! Not that it really matters in my life because as a parent you don't get weekends off and with Panda's schedule he doesn't just work M-F.

Well DDT and I are off for a walk and maybe a little stop at the park, then it is off to swim lessons. I should post a video of him showing off his skills. This afternoon we will be visiting Munchi and Kiki. Fun filled day!!

Short Fuse....

not sure what it is but my fuse is SHORT!! DDT is driving me crazy and I have raised my voice several times this morning because someone just doesn't want to listen. I think I need to see a therapist......or maybe I should just start drinking....

Keep on truckin'....

so I was bad and didn't mark my weight yesterday. The evil thing called the scale said I gained .2 lbs. I know it is not much but it was a gain. Today I stepped on evilness again and I was down 1 lb. from yesterday so I am good with that.

I have been doing really well with walking and eating good. When Panda is off work he has been taking me and DDT on some awesome walks. I love walking around my city and seeing beautiful houses I could never afford.

My goal for today is to get rid of the chocolate chip cookie dough that is in my freezer (we used some of it to make a birthday cookie for Rabijay). By getting rid of it, I don't mean eat but just toss it. I may take a scoop before the actual tossing though.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

Happy Grandparent's Day to all the grandparents!

DDT would especially like to thank his Grandma, Grandpa, Grammy and Papa for being so awesome, for giving him good treats, for all the hugs and kisses, and for just giving him tons o' love.

Who Woulda Thunk.....

that cutting out Mt. Dew, fast foods, sunflower seeds, candy, etc. would help me lose another 1lb.

I have to admit that this week hasn't been the easiest but I like, no LOVE, the fact that I have lost another lb. The walks that we have been taking have been great and challenging. Maybe I will work my way up to 5 miles. Maybe....I have been eating good and have eaten lots of veggies/fruits.

I keep thinking about the upcoming months and how I will do with my diet. Panda and I are going to San Fran from Oct. 2 to Oct. 5 to celebrate our 4 year anniv, then there is Thanksgiving and then Christmas and then New Years.....But I think I need to take it one day at a time and when everything gets a little closer worry about it then.

So now I sit and watch my son laying on the floor and grunting....I wonder what he is doing???

My Crazy Child

So DDT fell asleep in the car on the way home from Costco this afternoon and we didn't have the heart to wake him up. He woke up around 5:45 pm and this is how he was tonight at 8:30 -

Note: I turned the view finder towards him so he was watching himself.

My Support....

is awesome! I love the encouragement I am receiving from ChiTown and Kiki. Trust me, I need it!

Today Panda and I (of course DDT too) went on a walk and I think he must be preparing me to climb Everest. Some of the hills we went up, I thought I was going to die. Thinking about it, they may not have been huge but just that I am really out of shape.

Thanks again gals - YOU KICK ASS!!

On my way....

yesterday I dragged my big ol' bottom out of the house and walked downtown. DDT decided to fall asleep on the last little bit of the walk and so I decided to put him down in his bed to rest up for swim lessons. Speaking of swim lessons, he was invited to do the Infant Olympics at his swim school. It is Saturday and I will post pics.

In the afternoon Kiki and I decided to meet at Irvine Regional Park. We walked around the zoo and then walked over to a shaded play area so teh boys could get some energy out. It was killer hot, like 90+ with what seemed like 150% humidity.

Well I stepped on the scale today and I am down 1.8 lbs. I would love to lose a little over 2 lbs this week and I think I am on my way....

My Brain Hurts.....

I have spent a majority of the day working on my webpage/business cards and my brain is definitely pounding from all the creative juices I had to call upon. I honestly believe that since I have quite working, I have lost my technical thinking skills. I used to be pretty good at HTML but today it has been a real challenge.

On the weightloss front, I have gone shopping for fruits/veggies. I also took a nice walk with Panda and DDT downtown and hung out at the beach for a bit. I have done my part with my H20 intake as well.

Tonight we had a laugh, when DDT decided to climb into his toy box to get closer to his toys:

Kick Off Day...

Well needless to say I am draggin' ass this morning. I just stepped on the scale and had a pleasant surprise - I weighed less than I anticipated. Actually it was 3 lbs. less than what I weighed last week. Very surprised since I pigged out this weekend.

My goal for today is to walk a 1/2 hour and go grocery shopping for some fruits and veggies.

The Dreaded "Before" Pics

Okay, so tomorrow is kick off day to my weight loss goal of 30 lbs. Here are my "before" pictures and each week I will post progress pictures. Did I tell you that I love taking pics of myself?

Seriously, I still look like I have baby cheeks:
