My Growing Boy

DDT is really starting to get the hang of feeding himself.....He is growing so quickly!

My 32nd Bday

We ran a little late on Wednesday but for a good reason. We had to make sure the house was in tiptop shape because some folks wanted to check it out. The house must have really looked good because the same couple would like to check it out again tomorrow!! Please, please let them make us an offer!!

So after PANDA and I dropped DDT and HANKERS off in the LBC, we headed to Disneyland. We got there around 12ish and decided to have a bite to eat before entering. Once inside, we hit the ground running and rode all the major attractions by 10 pm.

Can I say how much I love people watching and this is the place to do it! Some people just blow my mind. For instance, the guy who had OTTER POPS tattooed around his calf. Can you believe that?! OTTER POPS!! This guy must love those delicious ice treats. We love the people that wear clothes much, much smaller than they should be and we think to ourselves...why don't their loved ones say something to them?!

So here are our favs and not so fav rides:

PANDA's 1st Favorite - Tower of Terror - seriously, he loved it and was giggling with excitement during the whole thing!

PANDA's 2nd Favorite - Muppets 3D Adventure - I am not joking about this, he loved it!

CAREBEAR's 1st Favorite - Tower of Terror - My throat is still scratchy from screaming.

CAREBEAR's 2nd Favorite - California Screamin' - We got a cute picture from this one, see below:

PANDA's Least Favorite - Thunder Mountain - Can you believe that?!

CAREBEAR's Least Favorite - Ferris Wheel - OMFG!! PANDA made me go (yes, he pointed a gun to my head and forced me!) on a moving carriage. Mind you, I HATE heights and I hated it even more because it moved. I had a death grip on my seat and Andrew thought it would be fun to take pics:

Overall, a great time was had by all and we cannot wait for DDT to be older so he can enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth as well!

Birthday Month?

Two years ago a week before my big 30th birthday, I found out I was pregnant. I went up to the fire station to tell PANDA the good news and that is the day celebrating my bday changed. Since we were not aware of my "situation" sooner, PANDA made plans to take me down to Puerto Nuevo to celebrate my big 3-0 with margaritas and lobster. Well lets just say there was only one or two margaritas but plenty of lobster, potty breaks, sleep and nausea.

Well it is the day before my 32nd birthday. I remember a time when my birthday celebration was a week long celebration (PANDA swears it was a month long) but ever since DDT came into the world, things have changed. Do I miss it? Of course, I would be lying if I said I didn't!

Tomorrow PANDA and I will be heading to the Happiest Place on Earth while DDT and Hankers will be heading to Long Beach to hang out with GRANDMA and GRANDPA. PANDA and I will be staying the night at the D-Land Hotel to make the most out of our outing.

So a week/month has been dwindled down to 2 days.....You better believe I am going to live it up!

Busy, Busy, Busy Weekend

The weekend started off with me picking up the niece and nephews to kidsit over the weekend while their parents went off to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The kids are 14, 12, and 10 and they are the best kids to watch. We will call my niece RED (12 years old) and she is my little helper with DDT. The boys we will call POLO (14 years old) and BATBOY (10 years old). The boys are awesome and love to play with DDT as well. So Friday night we rented 2 movies - RV and The Game Plan. We had pizza, salad and root beer floats. Uncle PANDA taught the boys the lovely game of 31, not 21, but 31. Very interesting and the boys seemed to catch on pretty quickly. While they were playing POLO asked me if I had any candy cigars. Funny you should ask, I do. I warned them that they were kinda old since someone gave them to me when I had DDT. So there the boys sat at the table playing cards and "smoking" their blue cigars that said "Its a boy!" Of course, I had to take a picture!

As the boys were playing their card game, RED helped me with DDT. She helped with bathtime and just plain ol' entertainment. RED loves making faces at the camera and DDT is starting to get the hang of it as well.

As the kids were watching RV, I decided to start on a puzzle. The puzzle is 500 pieces and I thought it would be fun to work on over the weekend. So by the movies end, I had finished the border of the puzzle. Check it out!

On Saturday, my mission was to find pajamas for DDT. So I heard Burlington Coat Factory had a baby department so I decided to check it out. OMG!! This place was horrible! If I wanted to buy DDT a pink shirt and a pin striped suit, it would have been the perfect place but I was not able to find pjs. After I gave up there, I asked the kids if they wanted Starbucks...Stupid question, of course they did. So we went through the drive thru and headed back to La Bufta with our drinks. Once we got back into town, we stopped by to see if Uncle PANDA was at the station and he was, so we stopped and visited for awhile. The kids love visiting the fire station and always try to bet each other who will slide down the fire pole. All of them backed out due to the fact they had shorts on. Once we said goodbye, we drove over to GRAMMY and PAPA's house to visit but the other cousins who we will call SPORTY SPICE (12 years old), TV (10 years old) and SPAZ (6 years old), informed us that GRAMMY and PAPA were not home and would not be until later. SPORTY SPICE said that they would be going to lunch and then a movie so she decided to ask her dad (CHUCKY, my brother in law) if RED, POLO and BATBOY could join them. He agreed and off they went. DDT and I proceeded to go home for a little R n R.

While DDT was napping, I decided to work on the puzzle. I was going strong until DDT woke up from his 2 hour nap. I gave him so food and let him play in the front room while I continued to work on the puzzle. At one point I glanced at the clock and it was 6 o'clock! OMG! All I could think of was where the kids were. No word from CHUCKIE and I was pissed! After venting to PANDA about my situation, CHUCKIE called and informed me they were going to take them out to dinner. Fine. Like PANDA, I am sure you all are like "what's the big deal?" Well the deal is this - I like hanging out with RED, POLO and BATBOY. If it were the other kids - SPORTY SPICE, TV and SPAZ, it would have been a different story. But the other kids I enjoy having around and the fact that they (CHUCKIE and D.W., his wife) didn't take into consideration if I had anything planned for the kids. Whatever, I am over it...okay not really but maybe in a couple of days. So around 7:45 the kids show up. They are ready to watch The Game Plan. I proceed to put DDT down to sleep and put the DVD on for the kids. The movie was actually very cute and wouldn't mind watching it again. Oh and as for the puzzle, I finished it right after the kids got home! A 500 piece puzzle in less that 24 hours all by myself!

When PANDA got home on Sunday morning, he had a lovely idea for an activity. The Discovery Zone (DZ) in Santa Ana! Perfect! There is a new Bob the Builder exhibit and I know the kids will love it there. So off we went. Of course since there were so many of us (6) we had to take 2 cars. We had breakfast at Ruby's and then we were off! The DZ was amazing! PANDA at one point said he could spend all day there. It was a little tough with DDT, he has no concept of staying by us and takes off at any given moment but I guess that is a 16 month old for ya! After a couple of hours we called it quits and headed back home to wait for the kids parents (REV RUN and MOTHER GOOSE) to get back into town. We timed it perfectly and REV RUN and MOTHERGOOSE were at the house about 1/2 hour after we returned. Once there, PANDA and I were informed of a birthday dinner for TV at CHUCKIES house. As this blog is long enough I will spare you all the details. Dinner was at GRAMMY and PAPA's instead of CHUCKIES and D.W., so that was a good thing. Lets just say that CHUCKIES wife, D.W., was her pleasant, love to chat self.....YEA RIGHT! I think she may have said one word to me, wait....nope! That is another blog in itself.

The weekend was quite the busy one and this blog is way tooooo long, so in the future I promise it will be much shorter.....

S**T Happens

Wow, I already have two posts in one day!

Okay, so having a dog means having to pick up doggie poop (or stinkies to DDT) constantly so DDT can play in the backyard. Well I did my job this afternoon while little man was napping. Once he woke up he was ready to play in the backyard so I opened the door and let him run free making sure there were no new stinkies.

Meanwhile I was cleaning up the kitchen and started smelling a certain odor. Hmmm, it smells like dog poop....I look in the front room and Hankers is laying on the floor so I am sure that he has been there the whole time as he would to have walked past me to get to the backyard. So I went back to my business. I looked out towards the back door and saw him. DDT with handfuls, YES HANDFULS of stinkies. Not only was it all over his hands but on his head and feet. He thought it would be fun to practice his stomping technique in the dog poop. That dog is sneaky!!

While I probably would have freaked out in the past (like 2 months ago), I have come to realize that S**t happens and you just have to deal with it and not freak out. So DDT got an early bath and is now squeaky clean. As for me, I am proud that I didn't gag, pass out, scream, etc.

Another lesson in parenthood!

Giving Blogging a Shot

I have been inspired by Mr. Rabijay himself to start blogging. I am going to try and post at least every couple of days. **Please note - nicknames will be used instead of real names but if you really piss me off, I will use your real name. Also, I have been told I have a mouth of a sailor so there could possibly be some curse words, I will try to sensor but cannot guarantee anything.

Nicknames are:

Carebear - Me
Panda - My Husband
DDT - My son/my job
Hankers - Our Dog

So a quick overview of me:

I am a 31 year old (32 in 6 days) stay at home mom to DDT. We live in the village of La Bufta (not the real name of our city, I stole this from Rabijay) DDT is 16 months old and is quite the little boy. DDT loves the dirt and loves to climb. My husband, Panda, works for the lovely city of La Bufta as a volunteer. Just kidding, it seems that way though when I look at his paycheck! Hankers is a boxer mix and is going to be 6 this year. Hankers and DDT have a love/hate relationship.

We are currently on a mission to sell our house in the lovely village of La Bufta. Our house has been on the market for a little over a week. We just need one sucker with a good check to help us in our dream of moving out of the village into a house bigger than 850 sq ft.

I am sure as with other blogs, my blog will be entries of randomness. My spelling and punctuation may not be up to par (it's amazing what you forget when you have a child!) so please just ignore it, you will get the point of the blog.

Thanks and look forward to you all reading my blog!
